PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Prior to joining Stoakley-Dudley Ltd Christopher ventured into the field of recruiting with a small, boutique staffing service as Branch Manager.
While employed with this firm he was able to grow their yearly sales exponentially through both servicing their existing clientele and expanding their client base from under ten to twenty-four within his first year, providing a solid foundation for future growth. He later learned that he was one of only two Branch Managers who was able to grow their client base to that extent during their first year on the job.
Expanding on his recent success as a Branch Manager, he further honed his recruiting skills through his tenure as an Account Manager and Professional Recruiter with a large multi-national staffing organization servicing a variety of clients which included national leaders in the Grocery and Retail fields.
SUCCESS STORIES
Early in Christopher’s career a large, nationally well-known grocery retailer entrusted him with executing a number of challenging searches. These positions included a Bilingual Gas Bar Analyst for their expanding national gas bar division, a Financial Analyst, and five or six Bilingual Customer Service Representatives.
By far the most rewarding search was a Records Management Technologist for a 6-month contract. Not only was sourcing someone with this background extremely challenging, as they tend to be hard to find, but it was for a short-term contract with no guarantee of full time employment.
Within weeks Christopher had not only found the perfect employee for this position but he was also able to locate another equally well qualified candidate as an alternative prospect for the client to consider.
Another client posed the challenge of recruiting for a Retail Brand Manager with Building Materials experience. Christopher soon found out that people who work in the Building Materials field seldom change employers, with 20-25 years tenure in a company being the norm.
Again, through his persistence, Christopher soon found three very strong candidates for this position, and the client picked the one that would take their company in the direction they wanted to go.
Following up with his client resulted not only in a positive outcome as they are ecstatic with the performance of their new Branch Manager but they also provided Christopher with additional recruitment opportunities such as Building Material Sales Representatives, an Assistant Branch Manager, Yard Foreman, and Store Manager for their three other locations.
RECRUITMENT PHILOSOPHY
Christopher’s recruitment philosophy is simple: To recruit the best you must constantly seek out skilled, enthusiastic people who exhibit the desire to grow and achieve new successes!
To secure accomplished talent, Christopher approaches each recruiting opportunity by matching his client’s skill set requirements, expectations and corporate culture with a candidate’s own skill set, personal dynamics and goals.
Companies thrive on strong team dynamics and Christopher’s goal is to provide competent, motivated professionals who enhance the overall effectiveness of his client’s team.
