PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

Pierre is a professional executive with a highly accomplished career in international transportation.
Pierre’s career began in the manufacturing sector in traffic management. He was dedicated to helping companies such as Abbott Laboratories coordinate their domestic transportation across Canada by air, truck, and rail in addition to being responsible for the replenishment of their distribution centers and warehouses across Canada and the United States.

From the manufacturing sector Pierre moved to the Service side of logistics. This exposure further allowed him to hone his skills developing an expertise in all facets of transportation: air, ocean, ground, customs brokerage, etc.  He has also developed a strong foundation of cross-functional knowledge that spans disciplines within an organization; such as sales, human resources, marketing, operations and management. He has gained first hand organizational perspective from within both the Large Global Corporate Juggernaut and the entrepreneurial small to middle size organization.

Pierre was first bitten by the “recruiting bug” while working as the Human Resource Director for a global freight forwarder. He undertook many exciting challenges while leading the Canada Human resource team. Responsible for addressing the Human Resources needs of an employee base of over 200, he also acted as a change agent. He spearheaded major corporate cultural changes through the development and implementation of strategic planning, Quality Initiatives, and ISO 9000 certification. As exciting and interesting as these initiatives were, none were so gripping or as personally rewarding as the acquisition and development of Human Capital.

There is no doubt that Pierre’s background complements his role as a professional recruiter serving the needs of Clients within the fields of transportation / logistics / distribution.
