The Opportunity

This is a remote/work-from-home position but, of course, they have bricks and mortar locations for if and when you want to go in-office.

Note: the nature of this important role requires some travel, across the UK and Europe.

Position Description

As this industry-leaders’ new Business Development Manager, you will spearhead growth initiatives in their vertical and marketplace. Responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, this role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry partners. The individual will develop and implement strategic plans to meet and exceed sales targets, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align products and services with market demands.

With a focus on expanding market presence, you will analyze industry trends, assess competitive landscapes, and drive initiatives that enhance the company’s position in the sector. This role requires a proactive professional with strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset to navigate a fast-paced, results-driven environment effectively.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development or sales within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Background in energy or industrial sectors would be a seen as an asset.
  • Experience with industrial products is highly advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Background in managing client relationships and leading successful negotiations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
