Position Description

Our client is seeking a Business Development Specialist – a pivotal role that revolves around travel and relationship building within the Province of Alberta. You’ll play a key part in building out the territory and expanding the company’s successful growth within the region.

  • Excel at finding and closing new opportunities, growing, creating and maintaining loyal relationships with new customers
  • A self-motivator who is comfortable working remotely and independently, while remaining part of a national sales team
  • Keen attention to detail with quotations and follow up with customers on quotes and existing / new jobs
  • A road warrior who enjoys getting out in front of the clients

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales for flooring distribution
  • Demonstrated Business Development ability, with a strong track record for building a successful territory
  • A passion for detail, structure, and getting things right the first time
  • Confident communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with a knack for managing competing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AS400 experience a plus
  • Valid Driver’s license in Good Standing

Education

Degree in Business, Sales or Marketing and asset.
