The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a keen Cost Analyst with strong attention for detail to join an industry leader in the food manufacturing industry. If you’re passionate about food quality and safety, this is your opportunity to shine.

Position Description

As a Cost Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing operational costs and improving profitability. You will work closely with production, procurement, and finance teams to analyze cost structures, track variances, and support decision-making with data-driven insights. This role requires a sharp analytical mind, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Analyze raw material, labor, and overhead costs, providing clear and actionable insights.
  • Assist in preparing cost forecasts and support annual budget planning.
  • Monitor production cost variances, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
  • Identify areas for operational efficiencies, cost reductions, and waste minimization.
  • Maintain accurate records of production costs, material usage, and inventory valuation.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to support business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Experience

2-5 years of experience in cost analysis, preferably in manufacturing or food production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (like SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong accuracy and precision when handling financial data.
  • Proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
