The Opportunity

Position Description

As the Manager of Cost Accounting and Assistant Controller, you would be tasked with supporting the day-to-day accounting tasks and reporting, which ensure a smooth running operation, with a well-supported workforce. You will work in tandem with other facilities across the division globally to ensure nothing is amiss within the production counts and financial reporting.

Experience

  • 10+ years’ of cost accounting experience
  • Heavy industrial product manufacturing experience/machining background preferred
  • Previous managerial experience, with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team of cost accountants
  • Multi-currency knowledge and global experience is required to succeed in this role

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • Professional certification considered an asset
  • Ability to manage projects, deadlines, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Both willingness to be in-office, as well as undertake occasional travel both domestically and internationally
  • Deep understanding of cost accounting principles, including cost allocation, variance analysis, budgeting, and cost control

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
