Senior Cost Accountant

Our client is a leading manufacturer of valves, part of a multinational organization whose iconic influence and presence can be felt throughout the world.

Compensation

The Opportunity

This is an in-office opportunity, with no hybrid or remote potential. An excellent role for a professional looking to join a growing team. A consistent and growing manufacturing company, giving you great experience and exposure to the Global markets, as they have manufacturing operations not only within Ohio but also around the world!

Position Description

As the Senior Cost Accountant you would be tasked with supporting the day-to-day accounting tasks and reporting of diverse and large industrial manufacturing operations. You will work in tandem with other facilities across the division globally to ensure standards are upheld across all projects and operations.

Experience

  • 4+ years’ of cost accounting experience
  • Experience in ERP system required. Exposure to LN ERP system a strong plus.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles in a standard cost environment and project costing
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Ability to apply corporate accounting guidelines in addition to GAAP
  • Sense of urgency task performance
  • Strong critical thinking / analytical skills
  • Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office software required, especially Excel
  • Strong communication (written and oral), organization and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to set priorities, work independently, and bring issues to resolution
  • Ability to travel Internationally

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
