Senior Manager – Electrical Engineering (Actuating)

Compensation

$170,000 base salary, with bonus structure, plus benefits, 401k matching, and other perks!

The Opportunity

This role would require relocation, because the sensitive nature of the work would require being close to the team and in-office daily.

Position Description

This unique role is a crucial part of the design engineering team – electrical and software engineering. You will get to lead an established (and still growing) department of electrical engineers, as well as software development engineers.

You and your team will be responsible for the design, development, and both testing, as well as qualification of power electronics. Creating various PCB/PWA components, analog and digital controllers, all for the use in aerospace actuation devices

Experience

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in aerospace or defense
  • 5 years’ minimum experience in engineering management with direct supervisory responsibilities of an engineering department or engineering project team

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent, with a Master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with ARP4754/4761 and RTCA DO-254, as well as RTCA DO-160 and/or DO-178
  • Strong communication skills, with a keen ability to not only set priorities, but multitask, consistently reassessing deadlines and priorities amongst the team, as issues arise

Education

Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent, with a Master’s degree preferred.
