Position Description

The Vice President of Business Development (Franchise) within Canada is responsible for leading the business development team across the country by identifying, managing and maximizing network sales of the companies’ partners, while working to identify and increase other diversified channels.

You will spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy. Effectively being the driving force in the development of the work ethic, culture and values of the sales and business development group. Through personal example, establishing the style and approach which will characterize the company’s dealings within the marketplace.

Experience

  • 10 years minimum of business development and/or sales experience
  • 5 years’ experience in a leadership or management capacity
  • Proven experience in providing strategic guidance and operational oversight in the business development area

Qualifications

  • An established understanding of the market: products, players, technologies, and relationships with contacts in related markets
  • Knowledge of marketing, sales and operations within a corporate franchising environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a flexible team
  • Knowledge of cost analysis techniques
  • Proven track record of leadership, decision-making, evaluating judgments, analyzing problems and solving them quickly
  • Strong negotiation skills and keen ability to manage contractual arrangements
  • Possess high level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Command of Microsoft Office products and experience with ERP systems
  • Willingness to travel across Canada and occasionally into the US

Education

Degree in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing.
