Compensation

$50,000-$55,000 annually, plus additional perks

Position Description

This is a residential portfolio, and as such someone with strong RESIDENTIAL high-rise maintenance experience is a definite asset, as the person would need to know how to interact with tenants and conduct in suite repairs.  This is NOT a live-in Superintendent position, it is a live-out Maintenance position.  Should the property have commercial on the main floor of the high-rise, the Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for tenant services for the retail component, but this is a small portion of the Maintenance Technicians day.

  • Ensuring tenant requests are fulfilled and dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for building maintenance and repairs
  • Minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies
  • Conduct property inspections in order to ensure property standards are maintained
  • Update logs on a daily basis
  • Minor drywall and painting repairs
  • Ensuring all common areas are well maintained and debris free
  • Ensuring properties adhere to fire codes, safety and WHMIS
  • Ensuring all correspondence with tenants is dealt with in a professional and timely manner

 

Il s’agit d’un portefeuille résidentiel et, à ce titre, une personne possédant une solide expérience en entretien de tours d’habitation RÉSIDENTIELLES est un atout certain, car cette personne devrait savoir comment interagir avec les locataires et effectuer des réparations dans les suites. Il ne s’agit PAS d’un poste de surintendant résident, c’est un poste de maintenance non résident. Si la propriété a des locaux commerciaux au rez-de-chaussee de la tour, le technicien de maintenance sera également responsable des services aux locataires pour la composante commerciale, mais cela ne représente qu’une petite partie de la journée des techniciens de maintenance.

  • S’assurer que les demandes des locataires sont remplies et traitées en temps opportun.
  • Responsable de l’entretien et des réparations du bâtiment
  • Petites réparations électriques, de plomberie et mécaniques
  • Répondre aux urgences en dehors des heures de travail
  • Mener des inspections de propriété afin de s’assurer que les normes de propriété sont maintenues
  • Mettre à jour les journaux quotidiennement
  • Réparations mineures de cloisons sèches et de peinture
  • S’assurer que tous les espaces communs sont bien entretenus et exempts de débris
  • S’assurer que les propriétés respectent les codes de prévention des incendies, la sécurité et le SIMDUT
  • S’assurer que toute la correspondance avec les locataires est traitée de manière professionnelle et en temps opportun

Experience

In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

  • Have 2+ years residential maintenance experience
  • Have strong communication skills, able to manage client relationships.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills, able to think on your feet.

Qualifications

Experience with building maintenance or construction renovations.

Expérience dans l’entretien de bâtiments ou la rénovation de constructions.
