Prepress Supervisor

Compensation

$90K+ salary, bonus, and benefits package.

The Opportunity

Currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prepress Supervisor to join a leading Toronto Print Manufacturer. As a Prepress Supervisor, you will oversee the prepress department and ensure the efficient and accurate preparation of files for print production within a digital & flexo facility. You will be responsible for managing a team of prepress technicians, coordinating workflow, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the prepress process.

Position Description

  • Manage and supervise a team of prepress technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Oversee the preparation and processing of files for print production, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including design, production, and customer service, to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of projects.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to prepress equipment and software, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain and update prepress procedures, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of prepress supplies, stay informed about new technologies and developments in the print industry.

Experience

  • Ideally minimum of 2-3 years Supervisor prepress experience
  • Ideally minimum of 3-5 years Digital and Flexo prepress experience

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in prepress software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Esko, and workflow automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of color management, image resolution, and file formats for print production.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, and to implement innovative solutions to improve workflow and efficiency.
