The Opportunity

This is days-based opportunity to join a forward-thinking manufacturer that combines innovation, sustainability, and advanced technology. They are seeking an Industrial Automation Electrician to support a modern production facility where safety, precision, and reliability are top priorities. This role offers stability, competitive compensation, and a supportive environment that values craftsmanship, problem-solving, and continuous learning.

This is very much a hands-on, shop floor position—perfect for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting into the heart of the action. Most of the day will be spent out on the floor, working directly with machinery, troubleshooting systems, and turning the screwdriver to keep production moving. While there will be moments where you’ll reference schematics, log work orders, or input data at a workstation, this is not a desk-bound job. Instead, it’s a dynamic, active role where you’ll be in the mix, solving problems in real time, and making a direct impact on operations.

Position Description

The successful candidate will become a trusted go-to expert for keeping state-of-the-art production equipment running at peak performance. Working in a fast-paced setting, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations across a variety of electrical and automated systems. From troubleshooting breakdowns to leading safety initiatives, this is an opportunity to make an immediate and lasting impact.

  • Conducting regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs to keep production lines running efficiently.
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues across relay systems, electronic drive systems, sensors, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Installing, dismantling, and overhauling machinery as part of upgrades and maintenance cycles.
  • Applying strong knowledge of PLCs, automation, and control systems to improve performance and reliability.
  • Interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to guide installations and corrective actions.
  • Taking a leadership role in ensuring electrical safety standards are consistently upheld.
  • Responding to work orders and service requests with efficiency and attention to detail.

Experience

3+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Qualifications

  • A licensed Electrician (442A and/or 309A) in good standing.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Electrical Safety Code and safe work practices.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a high-volume setting.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Physical ability to safely handle tools, parts, and equipment (up to 50 lbs).

Education

A licensed Electrician (442A and/or 309A) in good standing.
