Position Description

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in sales and business development within the freight forwarding and logistics sector. This role is focused on expanding the client base, deepening relationships with existing accounts, and driving revenue growth through strategic new business opportunities.

As a leader in freight forwarding, the company is backed by an experienced, high-performing team dedicated to exceptional client service. You’ll have the full support of senior leadership to pursue your vision for sales excellence and contribute meaningfully to the company’s continued growth.

  • Client Acquisition: Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in priority trade lanes within ocean and air freight, leveraging market insights and industry expertise to drive sustainable growth.
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective clients by understanding their needs and delivering tailored logistics solutions.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive business growth, increase market share, and strengthen brand presence.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as operations, marketing, and customer service, to ensure the seamless delivery of client solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve departmental targets and elevate overall performance.
  • Proposal & Negotiation: Prepare and present customized proposals, pricing structures, and lead negotiations to close high-value deals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze sales data, and adjust strategies to optimize outcomes.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent the company at relevant events, conferences, and networking platforms to promote services and expand the client portfolio.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience in freight forwarding or logistics
  • Strong understanding of both air and ocean freight services

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in sales within the freight or supply chain industry
  • Demonstrated ability to secure new business and effectively manage long sales cycles
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally and internationally, as needed
