Compensation

  • $135,000 to $155,000 base salary

Position Description

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role oversees planning, procurement, production scheduling, inventory management, logistics, and distribution to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of products to customers.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on leader with deep experience in food manufacturing supply chains, strong operational acumen, and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement, service excellence, and cross-functional alignment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned with growth, capacity, and customer demand
  • Leading and developing teams across planning, procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations
  • Establishing and monitoring KPIs to drive performance, efficiency, and accountability
  • Partnering with senior leadership on long-term planning and capacity expansion
  • Overseeing demand planning and production scheduling to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Aligning supply with Sales, Marketing, and Operations forecasts and demand shifts
  • Ensuring production schedules match plant capacity and raw material availability
  • Managing procurement of raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships focused on quality, cost, and reliability
  • Negotiating contracts and oversee vendor performance, compliance, and risk management
  • Leading logistics, warehousing, and transportation operations (inbound and outbound)
  • Optimizing distribution networks for cost-effective and on-time delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, cold chain, and regulatory requirements
  • Driving inventory optimization to reduce waste, obsolescence, and working capital
  • Monitoring and improve supply chain costs while maintaining service levels
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency gains
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP, CFIA, FDA, and other food safety standards
  • Developing contingency and business continuity plans for supply disruptions
  • Maintaining audit readiness across all supply chain functions
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field
  • 8-10 years of progressive supply chain experience, ideally in food manufacturing or FMCG
  • Strong experience in end-to-end supply chain leadership roles
  • Proven track record of leading teams and managing cross-functional operations
  • Deep understanding of demand planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements
