Electrician – Manufacturing Maintenance

Company Description

A packaging manufacturer known for delivering high-quality packaging solutions is currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their team and play a crucial role in ensuring continuous manufacturing operations.

Compensation

$37 to $39 per hour (unionized, compensation is none negotiable), plus benefits.

The Opportunity

As an electrician you will be responsible for maintenance operations and services within the manufacturing facility. You will work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment efficiency, and ensure the highest quality of our packaging products.

Position Description

This position is on rotating shifts: Days & Afternoons

  • Providing electrical maintenance support to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to ensure their reliability and longevity
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform repairs
  • Oversee maintenance tasks to minimize production interruptions and downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, and equipment history
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment

Experience

  • 5 years’ experience within a packaging manufacturing environment
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with PLC’s

Qualifications

**Must be able to work a rotating Shift: Days & Afternoons**

  • Certified Electrician
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing manufacturing electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
