A national logistics company with a large distribution facility in Delta, British Columbia, is looking for a Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance of the facility and equipment in the distribution centre. This leading organization provides innovative and sustainable logistics services to a diverse range of industries. This facility caters to a leading national client, so downtime needs to be minimal to ensure effective and efficient operations.
$85,000 to $100,000, plus RRSP, bonus, benefits, and other great perks.
Join a dynamic team as a Facilities Maintenance Manager overseeing the routine and capital maintenance of a unionized distribution center housing close to 500,000 sq.ft. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will lead a team of 18-45 maintenance workers depending on the season. The workforce will include 2-3 Maintenance Supervisors across varied shifts, ensuring the smooth operation of building systems and equipment.
The ideal candidate is a service-focused, innovative thinker with strong planning and communication skills, ready to step up from a supervisory or lead role. Experience in warehousing or distribution centers is desirable, but we welcome candidates from diverse industry backgrounds who understand the scope of operations.
This role involves managing a preventive maintenance program, interfacing with executives, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and the broader team. We seek a proactive leader who can navigate a unionized environment, build cohesive teams, and drive operational excellence.
