Company Description

Our client is a leading supplier of food and bakery ingredients in the North American market. They are “small but mighty” and pride themselves on being a family oriented organization. With nearly 30 years of experience, they are one of Canada’s premier importers of commodities for industrial food manufacturers.

Compensation

$80,000 plus benefits (medical, vision, and dental).

The Opportunity

This is an in-office opportunity, with no hybrid or remote potential. An excellent role for a professional looking to join a growing accounting team, taking charge of month end close and reporting, updating the general ledger and building a brighter future within the company.

It’s a great opportunity with an excellent team, giving you great experience and exposure to both the Canadian and American markets.

Experience

  • Ideally 3-5 years’ in a general accounting, or bookkeeping environment
  • Previous experience with accounting software and ERP systems
  • Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically pivot tables and reporting

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong command of Microsoft office products, specifically Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, reporting, etc.)
  • Keen attention to detail, with an understanding of payment processing, establishing customer credits and working with Forex exchange rates/conversions
  • Personable, enjoys working in a team and thrives in a collaborative environment
  • A self-starter, who is driven, motivated and detail oriented
  • A post-secondary education in Accounting or Business considered an asset
  • CPA or accounting designation considered an asset
