Our client is a well-respected leader in the Chemical Distribution Industry. They are looking for a Help Desk Technician or IT Support Specialist to assist their operations within Ontario and Quebec.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent role for a Help Desk Technician or IT Support Specialist looking for the next challenge. The perfect role for a passionate professional, supporting an organization’s internal employees with their technology needs and ensuring that hardware and software are consistently running smoothly.

This is a permanent, full-time, in office role is located right in downtown Toronto. It even offers occasional travel within Ontario and Quebec. It’s a great opportunity to grow with a strong company, who prides itself on being able to promote from within.

Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience working in a help desk environment (e.g., as a help desk solutions specialist, help desk analyst, help desk technician, or similar), providing internal technical support to employees
  • Previous Level 1 and 2 support experience providing technical support with Microsoft Office 365 applications and Windows 10 in a business environment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operation system and Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Knowledge of Azure, VMware, Cisco switches, or Cisco Unified Communications would be a definite asset

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites in Elmira and Colborne
  • Valid G License in good standing required
  • Any certification in Microsoft Office, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or similar would be an asset

Education

Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, or a related field
