Compensation

  • $65,000 – $70,000 salary range*

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of accounting and payroll functions while ensuring employees are paid accurately and leadership receives reliable financial insight. You will also have the opportunity to improve processes and strengthen controls that keep the organization running smoothly.

Position Description

  • Manage daily accounting operations including payables, receivables, payroll, and ledger activity
  • Complete reconciliations and support monthly and year-end close processes
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve financial inconsistencies
  • Coordinate bi-weekly payroll with an external payroll provider
  • Administer employee benefits and required reporting
  • Ensure compliance with financial agreements and obligations
  • Support internal controls and help refine accounting procedures
  • Assist with system updates and process improvements
  • Maintain records for related entities
  • Support special projects as needed

Experience

  • Hands-on accounting experience across multiple functions
  • Payroll processing and coordination experience
  • Experience preparing financial reports and reconciliations
  • Benefits administration exposure is an asset

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable communicating with colleagues at all levels
  • Able to manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
  • Calm and practical when handling pressure situations

Education

Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or other related field.
