Pharmacist

Oshawa, ON
Job ID 10515

Company Description

A highly specialized pharmaceutical organization is redefining what a pharmacist career can look like.

This is not retail.
This is not a hospital.

This is a focused, controlled, science-driven environment where pharmacists play a critical role in the preparation and release of customized medications that simply don’t exist commercially.

Working behind the scenes alongside physicians and healthcare partners, this team produces high-value, patient-specific therapies in a state-of-the-art compounding and production facility.

With over 175 employees and continued growth, this organization offers something increasingly rare in today’s pharmacy world:

  • Stability
  • Structure
  • And a calm, interruption-free environment

Compensation

  • $50 to $54 per hour
  • Generous healthcare spending account
  • Wellness allowance
  • Comprehensive range of additional benefits and perks

*The stated compensation range reflects the full scope of the role as currently structured and is provided in accordance with pay transparency requirements. Offers are determined based on relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and alignment with the role’s requirements. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates who fully meet all requirements and qualifications outlined in this posting and the official job description.

The Opportunity

In a profession increasingly defined by burnout and patient-facing pressure, this opportunity offers something different:

✔ Structured, predictable work
✔ No weekends
✔ No public-facing responsibilities
✔ A specialized, transferable skill set
✔ A calm, controlled environment

For the right pharmacist, this isn’t a compromise; it’s a career pivot to something better aligned with how you actually want to work.

If you’re a pharmacist who is:

  • Tired of retail pressure, patient-facing stress, and constant interruptions
  • Looking for a predictable, structured, and focused work environment
  • Interested in pharmaceutical production, compounding, and quality assurance
  • Ready to trade chaos for consistency and control

…this is a role worth serious consideration.

Position Description

This role is ideal for a pharmacist who:

  • Prefers analytical, detail-oriented work over patient interaction
  • Values consistency and routine
  • Has an interest in compounding, production, or QA environments
  • Wants a long-term, stable role without the need to climb a corporate ladder

A Different Kind of Schedule (That Works for the Right Person)

Monday to Friday
1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (No weekends)

While not traditional hours, this schedule offers:

  • No early mornings
  • No rush-hour commuting (both directions)
  • Quiet, focused shifts with fewer disruptions
  • Daytime availability for appointments, family, or personal priorities

For many pharmacists, this becomes a lifestyle upgrade, not a compromise.

This role is best described as pharmacy meets pharmaceutical manufacturing.

You will:

  • Oversee and verify compounded medication production
  • Review batch records, formulation documentation, and calculations
  • Perform final product verification and batch release
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and quality standards
  • Monitor controlled production environments
  • Investigate and resolve deviations and discrepancies
  • Collaborate with technicians in a highly process-driven workflow
