Prepress Specialist – Print

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prepress Specialist to join a leading adhesive label manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in utilizing Esko systems and possess a strong background in prepress operations within the printing or packaging industry

Position Description

  • Execute prepress tasks such as preflighting, color correction, trapping, imposition, and proofing using Esko software.
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure the accuracy and quality of artwork files before sending them to print.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any prepress issues to maintain smooth workflow and minimize production delays.
  • Manage and organize digital files and assets, ensuring proper file naming conventions and storage protocols.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates on prepress equipment and software to ensure optimal performance.

Experience

  • Previous experience in prepress operations within the adhesive label manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with different print prepress processes used in manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in operating Esko systems is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of color management, trapping techniques, and preflighting procedures.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
  • Diploma or degree in graphic design, printing technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with other prepress software, CTP, and Adobe Creative Suite.
