Compensation

$19.50 to $20.20 per hour plus strong benefits.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a meticulous and proactive quality assurance professional to uphold the highest standards of product quality and regulatory compliance. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by ensuring every product meets rigorous safety, quality, and certification requirements. Position Description

  • Conduct comprehensive quality checks at all stages of production.
  • Implement and manage food safety and quality hold procedures with precise communication and documentation.
  • Verify packaging materials and codes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee HACCP compliance through direct observation and monitoring, including metal detector CCP records.
  • Drive corrective action plans and ensure seamless implementation.
  • Enforce plant certifications and regulatory requirements, including FDA/ODA, Kosher, Organic, and Halal standards.
  • Monitor adherence to HACCP plans and prerequisite programs, ensuring all protocols are meticulously followed.
  • Collect and manage samples for external analysis across various production stages.
  • Conduct regular GMP checks, floor audits, and pre-operational startup evaluations.
  • Verify product labels for compliance and maintain detailed records.
  • Oversee equipment cleanliness, ensuring results are documented and communicated effectively.
  • Investigate and document foreign body occurrences, ensuring swift resolution and prevention measures.

Experience

  • Prior quality assurance experience.
  • Prior experience in the food processing industry.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with GMPs, Food Safety, and company policies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Availability for a 24/7 operation with flexibility for multiple shifts.
