This organization operates a highly specialized compounding facility, offering sterile preparation services that go far beyond the scope of a traditional community or retail pharmacy.

As part of this dedicated team, the successful candidate will gain rare, hands-on technical experience across complex compounding processes, advanced preparation techniques, and rigorous quality standards.

This is truly a dream opportunity for any RPhT who is passionate about expanding their clinical and technical skill set in a sophisticated, growth-oriented environment.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an analytical, detail-oriented individual with a passion for precision, quality, and excellence in sterile compounding. This is an exceptional opportunity for an RPhT (or soon-to-be registered technician) who is eager to deepen their technical expertise in a state-of-the-art specialty compounding environment.

You will be trained extensively in proper sterile technique, aseptic processes, and NAPRA-aligned best practices—skills rarely attained in a traditional community or retail pharmacy.

Working Monday through Friday, from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, you’ll enjoy a consistent schedule, a collaborative environment, and great workplace perks, including complimentary dinners twice a week.

Position Description

As the successful candidate in this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing sterile (hazardous and non-hazardous) compounding in accordance with NAPRA standards and organizational SOPs
  • Preparing complex compounded medications with accuracy, consistency, and strict adherence to aseptic technique
  • Maintaining a cleanroom environment, including environmental monitoring, room/equipment cleaning, and gowning procedures
  • Completing batch records, documentation, and quality checks with exceptional attention to detail
  • Supporting inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of raw materials and supplies
  • Collaborating with pharmacists and technical team members to ensure safe product preparation and timely order fulfillment
  • Participating in ongoing training to advance your sterile compounding proficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements

Experience

  • Must have 1+ years’ experience working in a pharmacy setting as a Pharmacy Assistant or Intern
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique a strong asset
  • Compounding experience a strong asset

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the OCP, or in the final stages of registration (e.g., having completed the PEBC Qualifying Exam Part I and awaiting or preparing for the OSCE)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking, excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Education

  • Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Program (or equivalent recognized training) is required
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) designation with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP), or eligibility for registration with PEBC exam components substantially completed
  • Successful completion of the PEBC Qualifying Exam – Part I (MCQ) is strongly preferred; OSCE-pending candidates are welcome to apply
  • Completion of the OCP Jurisprudence Exam is considered an asset if not already obtained
  • Additional training or coursework in sterile compounding, aseptic technique, or NAPRA-aligned practices is an asset
