Technical Sales Representative

Our client is one of North America’s leading companies in their field, boasting a full range of design, manufacturing, maintenance and distribution services. They seek a Technical Sales Representative to join their team! On offer is a great competitive compensation package which includes a company car, in addition to reimbursement of all work-related travel and lodging expenses. You will be provided all the necessary training, business and marketing tools needed to be successful in this position.

Compensation

The role is paying $90,000 to $95,000 per year, plus commission and other benefits such as a company car, plus all work related travel and lodging expenses.

This your opportunity to join a forward-thinking company. Based in Toronto, you will be an important team member. You will be entrusted with optimizing the organization’s current customer base as well as developing new business in the Ontario and Western Canadian markets.

Position Description

  • Your role will involve providing technical advice and support to their customers by understanding their requirements, providing technical assistance, and ensuring delivery of optimum solutions.
  • You will ensure that all customer service levels and performance standards are met.
  • Preparing quotations: Discuss, negotiate, and finalize proposals with customers; ensuring key deadlines are met.
  • Develop, build, and maintain strong long-term relationships with existing and new customers to maximize sales of products and services
  • Dealing with customer inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Following up of quotations to secure purchase orders.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout Ontario and Western Canada

Experience

  • 5 years of relevant experience, B2B technical sales
  • Having experience in corrugated packaging and design would be seen as a plus

Qualifications

  • Solid communication skills
  • Solid mechanical knowledge of corrugated container applications would be a plus
  • A college degree with a strong technical background or university degree would be a plus
