Our client is a leading supplier of food and bakery ingredients in the North American market. They are “small but mighty” and pride themselves on being a family oriented organization. With nearly 30 years of experience, they are one of Canada’s premier importers of commodities for industrial food manufacturers.

Compensation

$80,000 plus benefits (medical, vision, and dental).

The Opportunity

This is an in-office opportunity, with no hybrid or remote potential. An excellent role for a professional looking to join a growing accounting team, taking charge of month end close and reporting, updating the general ledger and building a brighter future within the company.

It’s a great opportunity with an excellent team, giving you great experience and exposure to both the Canadian and American markets.

Experience

Ideally 3-5 years’ in a general accounting, or bookkeeping environment
Previous experience with accounting software and ERP systems
Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically pivot tables and reporting

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Strong command of Microsoft office products, specifically Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, reporting, etc.)
Keen attention to detail, with an understanding of payment processing, establishing customer credits and working with Forex exchange rates/conversions
Personable, enjoys working in a team and thrives in a collaborative environment
A self-starter, who is driven, motivated and detail oriented
A post-secondary education in Accounting or Business considered an asset
CPA or accounting designation considered an asset
