Pharmacist

The Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing and verifying the preparation of compounded medications. This role focuses on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and final product verification, ensuring all formulations meet established standards prior to batch release.

• Review and verify master formulation records, batch records, and compounding documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Check and validate ingredient weights, calculations, and measurements to ensure precision and compliance with formulations.
• Perform final verification and authorize batch release in accordance with regulatory and internal quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with provincial regulatory requirements, USP guidelines (where applicable), and company SOPs.
• Oversee proper documentation, record retention, and audit readiness.
• Monitor environmental controls and ensure compounding conditions meet required sterility and safety standards.
• Investigate and document deviations, discrepancies, or out-of-specification results, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with technicians and compounding staff to maintain workflow efficiency while upholding strict quality standards.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and process optimization.
• Provide professional oversight and ensure all operations align with patient safety and best pharmacy practices.
