Roving Maintenance Technician, Residential

Company Description

Our client is one of the largest and fastest growing residential owner and operators with a strong national presence in Canada. With over $10 billion dollars in assets, they are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician that will be responsible for traveling between residential buildings in the in the Kitchener/Waterloo region.  In this role, you will be responsible predominantly for property maintenance including building mechanical systems.

Compensation

$45,000 – $50,000 annually plus additional perks.

Position Description

As the successful candidates, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring tenant requests are fulfilled and dealt with in a timely manner
  • Ensuring work orders are organized and tackled in priority sequence
  • Responsible for building maintenance and repairs
  • Minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs
  • Respond to afterhours emergencies
  • Managing one other maintenance associate and subcontractors while on site
  • Ensuring the common areas are clean and well maintained on a regular basis

Experience

  • Have experience in building maintenance within high rise residential
  • Have strong communication skills, able to manage client relationships
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills, able to think on your feet
  • Have strong maintenance skills and the ability to direct other maintenance associates and organize work order based on priority
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment

Qualifications

  • Strong maintenance experience
  • MUST have a vehicle
