Senior Architectural Technologist

Company Description

With almost 30 years of experience, credibility, and industry knowledge, our client is looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist with solid experience completing Commercial renderings in Revit AND AutoCAD. The organization is growing and they need support at all levels.

They are an organization that works on a national level that has spent years positioning themselves as a market leader. They have built strong relationships with some of the leading commercial retailers across Canada.  They also offer a vast array of services that many of their market competitors do not offer.  They have solid experience rendering ground up base build drawings as well fit outs for organizations looking to rebrand or reposition within the market.

Compensation

Compensation consists of a generous package, which includes a competitive salary (commensurate upon experience), benefits, RRSP options, and more.

 

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for an individual with experience completing Architectural designs and details for the commercial retail sector.  They are looking for an individual with experience using Revit and AutoCad to complete the following…

  • Preparation of the design layouts for new builds, fit outs, renovations, expansions, rebuilds etc. of projects in accordance with client specifications and brand requirements
  • Using Revit to complete comprehensive technical drawings ensuring client standards are maintained
  • Support application processes for all planning and permit approvals
  • Attending meetings with the client
  • Overseeing all phases from build permit set through to clean out
  • Oversee contract administration
  • Support project proposal team by providing technical information

 

As this is a senior role, the client is ideally looking for an individual that can act as the go to person for junior level staff, liaise directly with clients, oversee contract administration, and potentially do business development. All in all, we are really just looking for a seasoned candidate, that does not mind drawing, while bringing value to a great team and great organization overall.

Hybrid opportunities are available and to be discussed should a candidate require flexibility to work from home sometimes.

Experience

  • Ideally 10 + years’ experience as an Architectural Technologist
  • At least 2 years’ experience using Revit ideally
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • MUST have experience completing commercial designs, ideally for the retail sector
  • MUST be experienced in the design of all building aspects incorporating structural, mechanical, electrical and architectural details.
  • A diploma as an Architectural Technologist
  • A strong communicator that works well in a team environment
  • Although a licensed Architect is not required for this role, we will consider licensed Architects that are willing to draw

Education

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology a MUST
  • Will also consider a licensed Architect for this role, but the Architect must be willing to also draw
