Position Description

The Senior Director of Pharmacy Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of pharmacy services within the organization. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compliant pharmacy operations while aligning with the organization’s strategic goals. The Senior Director will collaborate across departments, manage budgets, and drive operational excellence to enhance patient outcomes and organizational performance.

Key responsibilities include optimizing pharmacy workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading a high-performing team, and fostering a culture of innovation. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with a passion for advancing pharmacy services in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Experience

Proven experience managing large, multi-facility pharmacy operations with a track record of achieving operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Expertise in optimizing pharmacy workflows, inventory management, and cost-efficiency strategies.
Strong ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work culture.
Demonstrated success in driving organizational strategy and implementing innovative pharmacy solutions.
Experience working cross-functionally within healthcare systems to enhance service delivery and patient care.

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted pharmacist license.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in pharmacy operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including Joint Commission standards, state board regulations, and federal compliance requirements.
Proficiency in leveraging technology to improve pharmacy operations and service delivery.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
