Compensation

$70,000 – $80,000/annually, commensurate upon experience.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Mechanical Designer you will be a key part of the design team, working with production to conceive new and innovative solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, something about which you can be excited, while taking pride in the knowledge that you were an integral part of the team that innovated the winning concept.

Position Description

  • Provide machine design models, drawings and bills of materials for equipment
  • Purchase components for mechanical assemblies
  • Analyze designs and systems for compliance with applicable standards
  • Preparation of technical documents
  • Creation of bill of materials
  • Development of test specifications
  • Manage and interface with outside design contractors
  • Support production while providing leadership to junior designers

Experience

  • 5+ years of direct working experience with automated equipment.
  • Experience using Solidworks 3D solid modeling software

Education

Engineering Degree or Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma
