Position Description

As our client’s Strategic Development Manager, your expertise and inherent abilities will help businesses enhance their efficiency, cost, and carbon footprint and the global supply chain as a whole! You will be pivotal in forming client relationships and closing transactions by promoting certain products and services to companies throughout North America.

Along with collaborating with different team members, you will take charge of building and sustaining a sales pipeline and fostering potential clients throughout all phases of the sales process. This important position fundamentally involves presenting customized supply chain solutions to prospective clients, and playing a key role in the growth of a start-up or scale-up through the establishment of industry connections.

Important responsibilities involved are, but not limited to:

 

  • Consulting with clients to understand their present situations and pinpoint their needs or challenges.
  • Organizing meetings, crafting proposals, and haggling over prices, terms, and conditions.
  • Facilitating workshops with vital stakeholders and experts, both from the client side and internally, to address and resolve questions.
  • Participating in trade exhibitions and conferences to mingle with potential clients.
  • Offering insights on the market to support the growth strategy.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing department to develop influential content.
  • Playing a part in defining the product strategy and future plans.

Experience

At least 3 years of pertinent experience in B2B solution sales, ideally in areas such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or SaaS/technology.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional, proven track record in integrated solution selling
  • Ability to provide concrete examples of other sales accomplishments (from plan to close)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
  • Ability to drive innovation / exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Business Community involvement
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills at all levels of the organization, especially executives and C-level
  • Excellent written communication skills; other language skills are considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently (drive and self-motivation/self-starter and self-managed) and in a team environment

Education

A College Diploma or University Undergrad degree in International Management, Business Administration, or a related field is looked upon favorably.
