The Opportunity

Our industry-leading client is looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Accounting Assistant to join their Finance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting their Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and managing inventory reconciliations, ensuring smooth and accurate financial operations. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and have a knack for numbers, this could be the perfect fit for you!

Position Description

  • Customer Invoicing & AR Management: You’ll handle invoicing for customer shipments, ensuring invoices are sent promptly via EDI or email, and manage timely collection and system posting of AR.
  • Payment Deductions: Track and post customer payment deductions accurately, and proactively dispute any unauthorized deductions to maintain account integrity.
  • Broker Commissions: Prepare monthly commission vouchers for CEO approval, helping to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Bank Deposits & Production Reporting: Deposit checks, manage system postings, and review production reports to ensure consumption remains on target.
  • Inventory Reconciliation: Track inventory movements and manage month-end reconciliations, collaborating closely with warehouses and physical inventory counts.
  • Claims for Inventory Losses: Submit claims for any inventory losses to ensure recovery, keeping their assets protected.
  • Balance Sheet Support: Contribute to monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation and other finance-related tasks as needed.

Experience

  • 1+ years of accounting experience, ideally in AR/AP.
  • Previous experience in a global manufacturing environment is a bonus.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools, ideally SAP.
  • Proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of accounting software; SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Associate’s degree required; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
