Company Description

A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a mid-level Cost Accountant to join their Finance team. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational decision-making, maintaining accurate product costing, and driving financial performance across the facility. If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoy partnering with operations to improve efficiency and profitability, we would love to hear from you.

Compensation

$70,000 salary, plus benefits, plus bonus.

Position Description

Maintain and analyze standard costing systems, including regular updates and variance analysis
Prepare and review monthly inventory reconciliations and manufacturing variance reports
Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to costing and inventory
Collaborate with production, purchasing, and supply chain teams to ensure cost accuracy
Analyze labour, overhead, and material costs; identify trends and recommend improvements
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within ERP and financial reporting systems
Support internal and external audits as required

Qualifications

5 – 10 years of Accounting Experience
2 – 3 years of Manufacturing accounting experience
Strong Excel and Accounting Tech software skills
Strong time management and detail-oriented capability

Education

Post-secondary education in Finance, Commerce, or Business
