Some of the world’s most important technologies operate far from public view. They support critical communications, sensitive applications, advanced research, healthcare, industrial systems, and other environments where reliability is expected and failure is not taken lightly.
Our client is an established international manufacturer of highly engineered products and systems. Its Canadian operation forms part of a broader manufacturing network serving customers across multiple regulated and technically demanding markets.
This is a business where logistics and trade compliance carry real operational importance. Specialized products must move across borders accurately, securely, economically, and in full accordance with an extensive body of Canadian, American, and international requirements.
The company is now seeking a senior leader who can bring clear direction to that responsibility and strengthen how logistics, customs, and international trade are managed across the organization.
*The stated compensation range reflects the full scope of the role as currently structured and is provided in accordance with pay transparency requirements. Offers are determined based on relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and alignment with the role’s requirements. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates who fully meet all requirements and qualifications outlined in this posting and the official job description.
The National Manager, Logistics, Customs & Trade Compliance will lead a function that sits at the intersection of supply chain performance, regulatory responsibility, commercial decision-making, and organizational risk.
This is not simply a transportation-management position, nor is it a narrowly defined compliance role. It is a broad leadership mandate for someone who understands how the two disciplines depend on one another.
You will shape the policies, controls, relationships, and operating practices that govern how products move into, out of, and across the business. You will oversee transportation strategy, customs administration, tariff classification, export controls, sanctions requirements, broker and carrier relationships, internal audits, and the development of the people responsible for carrying out this work.
The position will also serve as a trusted source of guidance for senior leadership and for colleagues across supply chain, operations, engineering, finance, and other departments. When regulations change, a shipment presents an unusual risk, a classification is challenged, or a process needs to be improved, your judgement will help determine the right course of action.
For an accomplished logistics and trade professional, this is an opportunity to move beyond administering established processes and take ownership of how an important function is designed, governed, and improved.
