Company Description

Our client is a well-established logistics organization with a serious commitment to doing customs properly.

They operate on a global scale, but this role sits right here in the GTA, where the pace is fast, the expectations are high, and the work actually matters.

  • Bonus potential
  • Full benefits

*The stated compensation range reflects the full scope of the role as currently structured and is provided in accordance with pay transparency requirements. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates who fully meet all requirements and qualifications outlined in this posting and the official job description.

The Opportunity

If you have ever looked at a customs operation and thought, “this could run better,” this is your shot.

You will be stepping into a role where you lead the team, set the tone, and keep everything moving the way it should. When things get complicated, you are the one people turn to.

You are not just reviewing entries. You are making sure the entire operation runs cleanly, efficiently, and without unnecessary risk.

In short, this is a properly structured leadership role, not a dressed-up senior coordinator position.

Position Description

  • Leading a team and keeping everyone aligned, productive, and accountable
  • Making sure entries are accurate, compliant, and on time
  • Handling complex issues around classification, valuation, and documentation
  • Keeping an eye on quality and fixing recurring problems
  • Working with operations, finance, and clients to keep shipments moving
  • Managing audits, questions, and the occasional curveball

You will also have the opportunity to improve how things are done. If something is inefficient or causing errors, you will be empowered and expected to fix it.

Experience

  • Several years in customs brokerage
  • Experience guiding or managing a team
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong understanding of how CBSA requirements actually play out day-to-day

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of classification, valuation, and compliance
  • Familiar with CARM and current regulatory expectations
  • Comfortable using systems like CargoWise
  • Detail-oriented, but able to think beyond the individual file
  • Someone others rely on when things need to be done properly

Education

  • Background in logistics, supply chain, or international trade is helpful.
  • CCS designation, or equivalent, is expected at this level.
