Our client is an international logistics company specializing in moving commodities worldwide. Position Description

  • Document preparation as it pertains to commercial shipments for the global movement of international freight, primarily of grains and other commodities.
  • Coordination and collaboration with carriers, vendors and overseas agents.
  • Consistent, professional and attentive interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure that export documentation is correctly created and filed appropriately to facilitate the customer’s needs.
  • Complete, bill and close all files as outlined by company processes.

Experience

Our client is looking for an export documentation specialist with strong customer service abilities and sociable interpersonal skills to join the relaxed environment in their congenial and professional office. Familiarity with ocean FCL shipping and documentation are required.

Minimum 2 years of Ocean Export experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Able to keep up with the latest changes in international export documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure accurate & timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Able to professionally communicate in a friendly manner with customers and vendors in reference to questions and discrepancies.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Recognition of importance of customer satisfaction and good vendor relations.
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations and rebound to keep up morale.
  • Enjoy assisting and mentoring others.
  • Proficiency with Windows, MAC OS, MS Office, Adobe, & sufficient computer skills.

Education

  • High school graduate or equivalency required
  • CIFFA certification an asset
