Compensation

The position offers a competitive base salary along with an attractive and comprehensive benefits package.

Position Description

The position involves designing and executing innovative warehouse solutions, and leading key automation projects.

 

Technical

  • Lead and assist in developing top-tier operating solutions, encompassing operational elements like operating cost calculation, operation flow design, technology and equipment selection, and facility layout design.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis to establish customer business & operational profiles.
  • Analyze client profiles & create technical specifications to devise optimal & feasible solutions, collaborating with operations & WMS engineers.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and provide training as needed.
  • Communicate effectively about opportunities for improvement, budget disparities, and recognized risks.

 

Financial

  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis, create ROI business cases for endorsed projects involving process alterations, system, or cutting-edge technology changes.
  • Carry out pricing simulations to recognize best-in-class solutions adaptable across diverse scenarios.
  • Handle & assist in repricing and budgeting for existing clients.

 

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with Project & Implementation, Solutions & Pricing, & Applications Engineering teams to maintain standardization of best practices.
  • Assist significant changes in the warehouse regarding processes, MHE, WMS, automation, and mechanization.
  • Present & convey design proposals to all management levels, ensuring effective collaboration & agreement from all involved parties.
  • Coordinate with external vendors on innovative technology and solutions equipment and methodologies.

Experience

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Access & AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of MS Power BI, MS Visio & Project is preferable.

 

Communication Skills

  • Superior verbal and written abilities.
  • Capable of communicating design concepts, steering discussions to generate thoughts & address challenges.
  • Ability to adapt responses according to the audience.
  • Skilled in developing and presenting ideas to management and executives.

 

Organizational Skills

  • Mastery of task prioritization & time management.

 

Other

  • Willingness to travel within GTA, Canada, and internationally if needed for conferences, site visits & industry events.
  • Understanding of basic engineering finances & accounting principles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehousing procedures, systems, and equipment (MHE).
  • Exceptional analytical acumen and attention to detail.
  • Robust project management capabilities.

Education

Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or an equivalent blend of education and work experience.
